     Baby dances go on all day. There is the dance that you do to lull your baby to sleep, the dance that comforts, and the dance that makes her laugh. Breastfeeding is also a dance that you do with your baby. Sometimes both of you get the rhythm and hear the music, and you come together in a graceful way. More often, there are some clumsy steps while you are learning to dance. Maybe one or both or you gets impatient, or there may be some stepped-on toes. Occasionally the music never starts and the dancing doesn't happen for a while. Then it helps to have a teacher watch what is happening and give you some insight into what might be going on.  I am an RN and a lactation consultant in private
practice in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have been working with new parents for over 20 years, the last 7 as the owner of BabyDance.  I will come to your home after you have your baby to bring you a pump or observe a feeding.    I love baby dancing and breastfeeding, and I would love to help you and your baby hear the music, find your rhythm and start to dance.
